Hello all,

As mentioned in the title I'm not getting any heat from my WED4815EW1 dryer. It does turn on, spin, turn off when I open the door, timer works fine. Tested the outlet, it is putting out 240V. Dryer vent/duct is clear. Pulled off the back cover of the dryer and tested continuity on all the things that I could find from my google search (heating element, thermal fuse, hi limit thermostat, thermal cut off) and all passed. Anything else I should check? Should I just start replacing those parts and see what works? Perhaps I have wired it wrong (4 prong outlet, picture below)?

Hi,

A copy:

Q: My electric dryer runs but will not heat, what could stop my dryer from heating?
A: Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating: house fuse or breaker ( needs two of them ), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse ( not all models ), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug.

Perhaps I have wired it wrong (4 prong outlet, picture below)?

Your pic looks wired ok but you will need a cable connector.

Tested the outlet, it is putting out 240V. - Perhaps I have wired it wrong (4 prong outlet, picture below)?

Is this a new installation?
220-240 volts ac from red to black. 110-120 volts ac from red or black to white.
