The oven on my 4 year old gas range only comes on when I light on of the stove top burners. The igniter get orange, but there is no gas coming out. Then, if I leave it for one minute or so, and the turn on a stove top burner, gas goes to the oven and it lights and heats up.

I chatted with a Samsung customer service representative, who told me it’s because the gas pressure is too high. My gas company tells me to contact a repairman.

I can’t find any online information on how to adjust the gas safety valve and looking at it, there isn’t the adjustment screw that you see on most gas regulators. Any thoughts anyone?

That seems odd to me as well that Samsung would tell you that.

Try the broil cycle and see if that one comes on within 45 to 60 seconds without you turning on your surface burner.
