    ...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Old Jennair 30" drop in grill range

I need to replace an old jenn air grill range, downdraft electric, drop in, installed in an island. No one makes downdraft drop in ranges, only slide in, or drop in without downdraft. Should I modify existing cabinet for a slide in? Do new drop ins fit in the same opening as the old jennair? Any help appreciated.
