Spins fine, NO agitation.
Found washer full of water and not running. Advancing the control to the spin cycle and it spins and drains well. Will not wash (or rinse) because zero agitation.
I took off the belt, and the main pully spins by hand fine ONE direction. Totally locked the other. As in: Totally. Locked.
The pully pops out when turned in the spin direction, which I assume disengages the brake... seems to work (brake works when spin is interrupted by lifting lid.)
Is this a buggered transmission? Or maybe something is trapped under that agitator? For some reason, Maytag put the bolt for the agitator a million miles down the central hub, so I'm going to have to buy a very long extension....
Thanks for your kind help!
