Looking at possibly picking up an old Coldspot to restore. It was my grandfathers and I think it could make an awesome beer fridge in the garage. The handle has been broken off as long as I can remember, but my grandfather jammed a screwdriver into it and got it working. My question is, how tough is it to get a replacement handle?

Second question, image of the fridge is attached. Is the project worth taking on? I'm not sure how deep the rust by the handle is...

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to keep checking online for a used one. Ebay is your best bet.

That's up to you. How much time and money are you willing to invest? You're correct, it's a project, not a repair. The last appliance project I did was a 1955 GE wall mount refrigerator. Look just like these:

It took 15 months and $500 but it came out perfect!
