I have an older frigidaire front loader. Just experienced the dreader spyder breakage. Cant feel too bad though, the machine is 10 years old and the only repair I have ever done was a leaky pump shaft. The matching gas dryer has been a piece of junk for quite some time though. Is the drum set up on the new affinity better than what I had or are all front loaders like this? I have to have stacking appliances and a gas dryer due to my laundry room configuration. Any reccomendations, looked at the affinity and the kenmores and LG products. One of the others that has my curiosity is the Samsung, any experiences?

The new Frigidaire affinity models have been doing much, much better, in fact I haven't seen any issues with the rear bearing or spyder breakage at all.

I'm not sure about the LG or Samsung models, as I don't work on those models.

You can see if other members post here about those.
