When it goes into the spin cycle it does nothing. Looking at it from underneath I can see that the belt is turning and the large wheel in the middle is also turning, but the drum is not moving. I guess I have 2 questions. What is the most likely culprit, and is it worthwhile to repair? As always, I thank you in advance for the valuable knowledge you so gladly share with me.

Hi,

Its the thrust bearing that has gone bad. You will need to order the Thrust bearing kit. Seen many times on my service calls.

You can order it here (Video Included in part link):
