My PDT825SSJ0SS has been beeping the “cycle finished” chime at random for the past few months (typically 3-4 times per day). While annoying, I’ve ignored it since it hasn’t effecting performance, but knowing something might be going wrong.
Today, my concerns came to true, as the dishwasher would not respond to any button presses, and led lights were not on. I had to unplug and plug the power cable back in to the dishwasher running again.
I’m suspecting it’s the control board, but are there anyway to troubleshoot or diagnose the problem?

Hi, you will need to check your machine control board STATUS LED, Tell us how many times its flashing in a row, or if its STEADY ON or STEADY OFF.

To view the STATUS LED, remove the lower access panel of your dishwasher. You DO NOT have remove the control board from its metal casing when you view the STATUS LED.

Here's the control(machine) board for your model:

Here's the video on how to access the control(machine) board:

Hi Jake, I have this same dishwasher and it was dead. I replaced the control board about two months ago and nothing. Along came the winter storm in Texas. We lost power 37 times over two days and then all a sudden it works again. Now a week later, dead again. What do you suggest? Thanks.

Since I'm looking for an LED indicator should I not turn the breaker off?
Turn your home breaker OFF to the dishwasher, then just lower down that control board casing so you can view the STATUS LED on it, then turn your home breaker back ON, then tell us what you see.

Hi Jake
Mine is steady on green. What’s a good next step (if there is one)?

I was just reading that in another thread. Thank you! Taking the control board out was fairly straight Forward. Is it the same for the UI Board?

The UI Board is quite a bit more work.

I posted the instructions to replace the UI Board in post #2 here:

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Jake
Sorry to rehash an old thread, but I’m finally getting around to replacing the UI board and have a (stupid) question. I’d like to buy a set of magnetic nut drivers to make the job a bit easier. Does the unit use hex nuts? I’m looking to buy this set: smile.amazon.com/dp/B01DKNDHGM/

No, no hex nuts.

Look at this video at the :45 mark it shows you the tools you need:
