• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

to clarify, all phases of the microwave work except,
When you open door to put food in, the tray starts to rotate fan comes on before any cooking buttons are selected.
Oven works properly when food is put in and door closed. Once cooking cycle is completed oven shuts off as normal. Once door is opened to remove food the turntable rotates and fan comes on.

The problem is probably related to a door interlock switch but could be the main board. There's three interlock switches on the latch bracket. Unplug the machine and remove the control panel. Remove the wires from the three interlock door switches (one at a time) and check the door switches for continuity by opening and closing the door. Probably looks like this
