• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Hi all,
Got a GE Profile PEM31SM3SS Profile microwave go off (no power) after one or few uses. It could run 1 cycle like a 1 minutes or 2/3 then got no power. or it could last few cycles with the same issues. Unplugged/replug or flip the breaker normally bring it back until the next time. I tried different outlet on different breaker and the result is the same. It is seems to start this issue when I added another duplex receptacle to the same box, go from a double to quad, same circuit, which I don't think would cause this type of issue. When the microwave got no power, the outlet still got power.
Thanks,
