I think I’m done with this fridge. Now it will not turn on after unplugging it and testing the thermisters by the board and plugging it back in. Same thing happened to my old board as well. Could unplugging it and plugging it back in fry the board?

Fridge runs when in diagnostic mode and force run 100%. Once diagnostic mode is reached fridge shuts off.

No, sometimes there is a delay after plugging the machine in before it will do anything, give it 5-15 minutes.

You were right about the 15 minutes. So back to square one with the temp issue. Freezer is empty fridge has some drinks in it not sure if being so empty would cause these issues. gonna leave it for another 24 hours see if it stabilizes since I was messing with it so much. Not sure why the acurite temp gauge and fridges temp display are off by 5 degrees. I tested the acurite In my other fridge in basement with a Taylor manual thermometer and it seemed good and matched temperatures.

Ok, sounds good.

I always get the RED Liquid or digital freezer thermometer. Walmart, Target sells them usually at about 10 dollars and they last a lifetime.:)

So still having same issue freezer temp reads perfect but fridge temp is higher than actual temp it’s off by 4 degrees. Fridge is set to 34 and displaying 34 degrees but actual temp reads 38 or 39 usually. I have a couple different thermometers and have tried measuring a cup of water which was left in for 24 hours.

So far changed thermisters in fresh food section and on evaporator. Motherboard changed due to defrost issue stated earlier in this thread and changed evap fan to oem one had Amazon one prior to issues. Everything else seems to work and has passed testing.

Any ideas?

Nope, something very odd is going on, you can contact GE at 1-800-432-2737 to have a GE tech. come out to see what's going on.
