Oven preheat signal sounds when oven bake temp is well below actual temperature (like signal in 5 minutes when oven actually requires 15 minutes to heat). Have replaced igniter (fixed issue of taking too long to reach temp) and have ohm'd out the temperature sensor (read ~1100 ohms), so that leaves....? Control board replacement required? Or is there a user-replaceable sensor on the control board that I can purchase and replace?

Hi,

Your missing a digit in your model number, we would need that first.

PGB960SEJ1SS
PGB960SEJ2SS
PGB960SEJ3SS
PGB960SEJ4SS
PGB960SEJ5SS
PGB960SEJ6SS

Read it from the model number tag on your machine.

Then you will see a link that says: How to find a model number.

The full information I have is that the model is PGB960SEJSS from the original sale paperwork. I am unable to locate a model number on the unit itself looking in all the places your link suggests.

Ok, Its best to have GE come out at 1-800-432-2737 to see what's going on.
