GE Induction 11" 3700W Center Burner Mediocre / Slow Performance - Seeking troubleshooting tips
Hi everyone, appreciate some help on this one...My center burner doesn't seem to performing strongly and this is forcing us to have to cook using the right front when we need high heat even on large frying pans/grille's.
STEPS TAKEN SO FAR TO GET FACTS/VERIFY:
1) Fill 10" Pot with 2000G of water at 60F using scale and thermapen.
2) Set center (11" 3700W) burner to H ("Boost")
3) Measure time to 211F
4) Let everything Cool down
5) Repeat using Right Front Burner (8" 3200W)
RESULTS:
Using Center 11" 3700W Burner: 8 Minutes 20 seconds to 211F
Using Right Front 8" 3200W Burner: 5 Minutes 54 Seconds to 211F
the results seem to confirm that it's heating, but not so great.. I've tried using a larger sized pan (12") but similar results.
I moved in, so I don't know the history of how powerful this burner can be, so I am looking for troubleshooting help. I have both a multimeter, a digital ossiliscope, and comfort with mains electricity and components but don't know exactly what to do in order to troubleshoot further.
Any help from the group would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance.
