• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

It makes a rattle noise when off, you can hear the same noise when it is on. When it is cycles off I can stop the noise by entering 'cook time' and a digit or two. Some times it takes entering a cool time, then clear, and entering another cook time. I just enter on the pad without actually starting it. It doesn't make the noise every time it cycles off, probably about 70% of the time.
It has been doing this for the last several months. Other than the noise it works just fine. The noise is coming from behind the keypad.
The stove and microwave match so I would like to keep it running. The magnetron was replaced about two years ago.
Thanks
