Drops form on top part of food compartment and drip down on the food, and makes a puddle on the crisper area below the food racks. The food is cold, and the frozen food is frozen OK.
I am wondering if there is something wrong with the defrost heater or defrost thermostat. I have replaced the defrost timer with a new one. I can't figure out how to get access to the defrost heater, evaporator, part of the fridge.

Corrected model number

Some model# helps.

Only trouble is.....that model# doesn't work for me at 3 different parts depots as a Maytag nor as a Magic Chef.

Do you have a picture of the model/serial tag?

I changed the Maytag to a Magic Chef.

That one works! :)

I can't figure out how to get access to the defrost heater, evaporator, part of the fridge.

I use to have a tutorial on this....but couldn't find it.

Basics:
remove power
remove both doors
remove center hinge
remove center bar (between the FZ and FF sections)
freezer floor can now be flexed out towards you
heater and stats are under the FZ floor.

Thanks a lot Jeff,
The information you provided should be a huge help. I really didn't think I would ever find someone who would know how that is done.
