• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

I just purchased a new Sharp R344 Microwave oven. I am concerned that it may be faulty, but I am not certain.
Is it normal for the cooling fan to continue running after an operation ends? An operation completes, and I can open
the door and remove my food, but the fan continues to run for 2-3 minutes. This does not happen all the time. In the
few days that I've been using this microwave, it has happened at least 4-5 times. Should I return this oven for a
replacement or is this normal? There is nothing related in the accompanying operation manual. Thanks in advance . . .

Hi,

We have no technical information on European products, if your owners manual does NOT mention it should do those things, then go back to the store you bought it from and ask the salesperson that sold it to you.
