Hello all. I'm just going to jump to it. Ice maker leaks water into the fridge(model RF22K9581SG) . When we open the fridge door, puddles of water. When we get ice, our cup collects water when we first push the ice button. It's as if the seal or little door into the ice maker doesn't close and seal up. So the fridge temp is melting the ice closest to the opening. This is a known issue and I've tried things like bubble wrap in the seal around the opening on the door to help seal it and nothing works.
I've spent a considerable amount of time working with customer support only to finally get them to say they would supply the parts if I paid the technician costs. I'm capable of fixing it myself, has anyone had this issue and know the parts required to fix it? We just want to fix this issue until we buy new non Samsung appliances. We love the functions of this fridge with the screen and family hub, but very unhappy with the customer support we've had and lack of enthusiasm to fix major known issues with their equipment. So if anyone has had this issue or knows the parts needed to fix the issue, please let me know so I can find them and we can stop cleaning up water everyday.
