I have a Samsung RF23HCEDBSR refrigerator that the suction line ices up at the point where it exits out the back of the evaporator compartment. The ice grows to the point where the evaporator fan hits the ice. The heater works as there’s no ice on the coil. The evaporator fan has been replaced but no luck.

Any ideas?

Yes, that’s correct. The coil is free from ice. It starts at the point where the line exits out the back. It gets to the point to where the fan blade starts hitting the build up of ice after a period of time.

You have either a system restriction or a refrigerant leak. Most likely a system restriction. Either way sealed system repairs are expensive and will often exceed the machines value. Check your warranty. Some machines have a 5 year warranty on the sealed system.
