RF24R7201SR not making ice. After resetting ice maker forcing a harvest cycle, I get 4-5 very small cubes. The water valve kicks on but for only 1-2 seconds so of course the ice maker isn't getting enough water. I even pulled the line out the back, reset ice maker and only get maybe 2 shot glasses full of water. Get water flow out the door water dispenser. I'm using OEM filter and just replaced the ice maker but having the same issue. What control how much water or how long the water valve stays open to the ice maker. If I could get 7 seconds of water, I feel like I'll be back making ice. Thanks for any help you all can provide!

Hi, I don't have the wiring diagram for this model, so I'm not sure if the ice maker fill circuit goes through the main control board or the ice maker itself, since you already replaced the ice maker and it didn't make a difference, then it possibly goes through the main control board.

See if you can find the wiring diagram, its usually behind the bottom kickplate grille or underneath the right side door hinge cover.

I haven't been able to locate a wiring diagram and I've searched high and low. Looking at water valve part# DA62-04027A, it has a 3 wires valve that could be a water meter maybe?? Are you familiar with that water valve? I think I'm down to either the water valve or main board but want to make an educated guess. THANKS Jake!!

Hi, We bought a four door Samsung Refrigerator in 2018. Within three months we had ice maker problems. The ice maker was repaired, then replaced. Finally, I had enough. I told the third repairman what had gone on before and he had mercy. He said Samsung ice makers are notoriously bad and depending the year your refrigerator was made, you could get them to replace it for free. I was able to get a brand next model of the same refrigerator in 2000. No problems with it. I encourage you to do some research on the web. If your refrigerator was made in one of those problem years, I would think you at least be entitled to free service.

Thanks Sparky. I've already worked with Samsung and received the discounted rebated. I'm a DIYer and feel like i'm close to a solution. I've also heard about a heater that will resolve the issue long term if i could just get this thing making ice again.

I wish you good luck but as a seasoned DYIer you probably don't need it. I just did my first DYI on my dishwasher and hit a wall at the very end.
I posted a question to the forum. I hope someone comes to the rescue soon. Best to you.

Thanks and I know this is an uphill battle but I'm sure I'm not he only one so maybe the right eyes or Jake can get me going in the right direction. I think I'm down to 2 parts and so we'll see. Fingers crossed.

That valve looks like it has a water flow meter in it, but I don't know about how it works pertaining to the ice maker fill time.

What I usually do is use my volt meter to check for 120 volts at the water inlet valve electrical connector for 7 seconds when the ice maker should be filling, if my meter reads 120 volts for 7 seconds, but the water inlet valve only fills for 1 to 2 seconds, then its a bad water inlet valve.
