Hello,
Every few weeks the ice maker in my 3-door Samsung unit stops dumping ice into the ice bin. After a bunch of troubleshooting I figured out that the problem is ice buildup forming on the ice maker arm. When the ice maker arm lowers the ice buildup on the arm gives it a false sense that the ice bucket is full so, of course, the ice does not dispense. It isn't the worst thing in the world to temporarily resolve. I reach in with a somewhat pointy object and scrape off the buildup, but I am guessing this is caused by another underlying issue. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
