Hi all,

Joined up to ask a question I can't seem to find the answer for -

I have a Samsung RF266AEPN and the One Touch water spout has developed a leak.

At first, I was going to replace the Water Valve (DA62-00914B LINK ) since I noticed that my output spout has mineral build up and I'm assuming the valve innards do as well.

But after looking at how the water flows, it appears it hits the filter housing prior to running down to the valve (DA97-06317A LINK ) and possibly there is a "check valve" here (This is what I am unsure of)

Would the logical sequence be replace the filter housing prior to the valve?

Replace them both?

I have always used genuine Samsung filters.

Any advice helps!

Thanks from Sacramento CA

Hi,

You were right at first. Its the water inlet valve you will need to replace.:)

Look here:

Let us know how it goes.

Ok, sounds good.:)

Hi again,

It appears the problem is fixed!

I do notice though, minimal "weeping" from the water spout and if I press a paper towel on the spout, I can "wick up" water.

Is this normal?

I don't see a drip though!

Excellent, glad to hear the new water inlet valve fixed it. (y)

You may have air still in the lines, draw 10 full glasses of water from the water dispenser and that air will clear out.

Thanks for the update!

Hmm, well I purged about a gallon of water and let it sit since this morning with a paper towel laying in the fridge to "pick up leaks" if they happen and the paper towel is now wet.

Is there any other replaceables I can look at for this type leak?

Thanks again for all the feedback

That's very odd, all the air should of purged by now, and its still dripping?

Take the water filter out and see if it still drips.

Hi again, I let it sit all day and came and rubbed my finger across the spout and it was dry!

I'm calling it good!

Thanks again!

Excellent, glad to hear that. (y)

Thanks for the update!
