The model # of my fridge is RF28HFEDBBC/AA. This fridge is displaying 74 degrees on the external display, when I have changed the desired temp to 38 degrees. The internal temp is closer to 36 degrees when set at this temp. To see if the fridge was responding to any change in temp, I increased the set temp to 44 degrees and it is still showing 36 degrees, which makes me think that the defrost sensor is not working appropriately. Is it that simple and if so is the link the correct replacement for the sensor? Does the sensor actually send the signal to the display board to show the appropriate temperature? Does it make sense that the external display board would show 74 degrees when the inside is so cold and the coil and drip tray have ice forming? Is a $20 part going to be my fix?

Hi Adam,

Yes, you will need to order and replace the refrigerator sensor.

Never mind...I couldn't read that READ HERE attachment on my phone before. Ordered the part and we'll see what happens next week! Thanks again!

Jake...so I'm not sure why, but the sensor cable that is in the fridge (original) has a white end with a very different plug (male end) than the one I ordered. Can I send this one back and order the white one? I did try to plug it into the harness, but doesn't want to go.

I double checked your model number and it still shows:
DA32-00011C Sensor

As being the correct one for your model, and its blue on the electrical connector end.

Did the package it came in say--->DA32-00011C

Yeah I found the same thing too when I was looking at that before. Not sure how that can be.

Did you get it from AppliancePartsPros?

Your connector that it connects to should fit it perfectly per the video.
