I have an RFG297HDPN. I noticed the cleaner had touched the "no ice button". I turned it back on and can't get ice now. I have unplugged, reset, cycled, reset, done it all.

Each time I take out the IM I see frozen water in the IM cube maker. I defrost an put back in, reset, etc. I hear the beep each time, but I don't hear much of a cycle. I never see the arm come down to see there is no ice. I can't force it down I pull the machine defrost the cubes in the maker, put it back in, reset, wait 48 hours and no ice in the bin. Its not freezing up on the bottom. Its not pouring water on top of the cubes waiting in the tray.

Temp is -8 degrees. I get 8oz of water from the dispenser in 10 seconds. I don't use a filter because it is plumbed from an RO system. Would like to exhaust everything before I buy a new one. Thx in advance.

Did you hold the ICE TEST SWITCH FOR AT LEAST 1.5 SECONDS?

Heat Release I/M Test Mode Press and hold the ICE TEST S/W for at least 1.5sec, the harvest function will start. If the ice maker Thermistor is below 0 degrees the Ice maker heater turns on for about 2 minutes. If the temperature exceeds 0 degrees, Ice maker heater turns on for 30 seconds. After the Ice maker heater turns on for 30 seconds, the heater turns off and then Ice maker harvest motor turns on. The motor will rotate in right direction for about 3 minutes, after this, water supply valve is turned on, then the valve is turned off, the test mode is completed.

Here's the ice maker for your model:
