Front panel reading is 0-37. Refrigerator works, but the freezer (left side) is not 0 cold. The ice maker works only sporadically. Took the freezer back panel off. No ice buil-up and fan is spinning freely.

What is the real temperature of the freezer at then?

Get the RED Liquid or digital freezer thermometer. Walmart, Target sells them usually at about 10 dollars and they last a lifetime.

As I said, the panel displays 0 for the freezer and 37 for the fridge.
The actual temperatures read 23 for the freezer and 47 for the fridge.
What could be the problem?

Took the freezer back panel off. No ice buil-up and fan is spinning freely.
That would indicate a sealed system problem, especially since its ONLY getting to 23 degrees F in the freezer.

Check your owners manual warranty, some models come with a 10 year sealed system warranty at least for the compressor.

Ok, you can go to Samsung's website and put your model number in and see, or go refrigerator shopping.

Jake

Thank you. I did and this is what they said:

Standard warranty for your refrigerator as follows from purchase date. One (1) year parts and labor
Five (5) years parts and labor on Sealed Refrigeration System Only (Compressor, Evaporator, Condenser, Drier, and Connecting Tubing)
Ten (10) years part and Five (5) years labor on Digital Inverter Compressor Only
Samsung provides a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase for Parts & Labor. Warranty will be calculated from the date of purchase if you have the purchase receipt else it will be calculated from date of manufacture.

My fridge is a 2014 model. Meaning I would have to pay out of pocket for a new sealed cooling system.

Anytime!

Jake
