RTW4440XQ0 Roper makes noise during spin cycle but wont spin until I open and reclose the lid

This is a Roper RTW4440XQ0 washing machine.
When the machine advances to the spin cycle it sounds like tis spinning or getting ready to but doesnt. Once I open the lid and close it ti wil start spinning. Atfirst i though the load was to heavy for the motor but even with a small load it acts like it doesnt have enough power to spin it at first.

This is normal its called neutral drain. When it gets to spin it will run the motor to pump out the water. The spin will not start until the motor or comes to a complete stop and then restarts. Opening the lid works but 2-3 minutes into the spin cycle the timer should turn off the motor for a few seconds then back on and it should spin. If this doesn't happen you have a bad timer.
