Neighbor gave me his hisense wine cooler for free the other day and said it was only a year or two old, but needed a sensor replaced and was unsure what sensor. Once unit is plugged in, it seems all the components work, aside from the cooling. After a while of it trying to cool the unit beeps and on both temperature options it flashes “hi”.

Looking for some insight on what you guys might think be the solution?

This link will take you to the model, it was available from Lowe’s

Thanks!

If the compressor is running and its not cooling, then you have a sealed system problem. That would cost more to fix than its worth.

what’s the best way to confirm the compressor is working? When plugged in, it seems I can hear a motor come on, but I don’t feel any air movement.

Put your hand on the top of the compressor and it should be warm and vibrating, which means its running.:)
