We have a Samsung Dryer (Model# DV331AGW/XAA), when we push to start you can hear it click once, twice then nothing happens. The filter symbol pops up briefly then disappears.

We changed the 'Thermal Fuse' as I saw that could've been an issue from a YouTube video, but no luck. Cleaned the filter and tried to start the dryer with the tube removed from the back and still no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you so much for the reply.

Unfortunately yes, we tried all other cycles and reset the machine too but no luck.

Ok, you also have a Broken belt switch near the bottom of the motor, if the belt is broken or that switch is bad, the machine will not start either.

Samsung 3405-001077 Broken Belt Switch

Watch this video to ohm test it:

Make sure you disconnect power to the dryer before accessing it and ohm testing it. Let us know what you find.

So. I went through all the steps above and no luck. Ordered a new belt switch, checked and replaced.

When we go to turn it on, the 'filter check' comes on briefly, disappears, two clicks and it goes off. I feel out of my depth at this point.

Thanks

That's very odd, I don't know what else to suggest, except the control board causing this problem.

But the control board for this model has been discontinued:

You can Contact Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864) to have a authorized tech come out to verify that if you want.
