Dryer is 3.5 years old (it is a 2015 model but we bought it brand new). Was working just fine then one day it stopped working. Would not turn on. We have center point Home Service plus tech come out (guy was a complete bozo who was you tubing all of the work, came out 4 times and took the machine apart 4 times) and said our 3.5 year old dryer is unfixable as dryers need to be replaced every 3-5 years and left. He said he replaced the following items: DC9200669w {main board}, DC92-1607A {user interface}, DC3100055G {motor} and 1 thermal limit? He literally said "sorry its irreplaceable" and left. The dryer is in perfect condition. We have had NO problems with it and I find it SO hard to believe that all of a sudden this perfectly good dryer is "unfixable and garbage".

Any help would be appreciative.

What's the part number of the thermal limit he replaced?

Did he ohm test the thermal fuse with a multimeter?

Either the thermal fuse or door switch or belt switch can be bad and cause the dryer not to run.

Lets ohm test your thermal fuse first. Do you have a multimeter? If so, unplug the dryer from that wall outlet and ohm test it for continuity. When you click the part link to the thermal fuse below, you will see a video of HOW TO ohm test it.

Here's the thermal fuse for your model:
Thermal Fuse DC47-00016A

Here's the location of it on your model, that shows where its located:

Let us know what you find.
