Brand
Samsung
Age
1-5 years
I have a Samsung Refrigerator RF26HFENDSR and there is sheet of ice under the crisper draws
About 2 years ago I did the fix with heater extension down the drain and I guess it worked until now
I honestly forgot how to put in defrost mode on my model so if someone has that info it might be helpful—-what buttons to push?
1-Freezer & Power Freeze
OR
2-Fridge & Power Freeze
OR
3-Energy Saver & Fridge

I haven’t checked out the 2 bottom drain pipes (back of the fridge close to floor)
I see alot of postings on here about Samsung Fridges I went through most on them before I posted this I hate to be redundant but I could find this info
And lastly I have crack in lower shelf thats holds the crisper drawers besides buying a new shelf (cheapest I saw one used was on eBay going for $199)
Has anyone had that problem and it can be fixed with expoxy made for plastic! See photo
Thanks in advance for your replies
—Mike

Ok Mike, sounds good.:)

Any suggestions for the shelf repair?
No, unfortunately not, but epoxy made for plastic sounds like that would work.:)

Its ugly but I think will work…I hope!
I don’t trust plastic epoxy because in my experience it never works
The epoxy never meshes with the plastic

I did a forced defrost on fridge 3x and used a clothes steamer and I was able to remove a big sheet of ice under the crisper draws
But its still dripping water!
I am going to roll out the fridge check/clean the drain tubes hopefully thats the problem
I am trying to avoid taking off the fridges inside panel because I got to take out all the food! I’m being lazy!
But that might be the next step after checking the drain tubes
I did do the drain fix on the evaporator coil inside the panel on fridge about 2 years ago

Yes Mike, that looks like it will hold together fine.:)

Yes, that's what I would check next too.

For others following your thread--->Here's the drain tube for your model(Video Included):

Anytime!

What you think of repair?
Should do matching corners & paint it white
Maybe use white angle aluminum down both sides from front to back
It’ll look more factory installed LOL!
Gotta see if theres room on the sides when I put it back!
I’ll be checking the drain tubes in a little while to see if they are clogged

Alright I cleaned out drain tubes after I struggled to get the fridge out
They put in a tight spot within the cabinetry it was a real pain to get it out!
I don’t remember it being that hard to get out I guess the laminate got wet and swelled alittle bit from water dripping on it
You don’t see it so thats good!
Anyway back to the drain tubes
The one from the fridge was really clogged and the one from the freezer was less clogged so cleaned them and put them back
When I took on the fridge drain pipe off alotta water came down so I guess it was backing up
I included a few photos
I going check it and may sure there is no water under the crisper drawers tomorrow
But I think it worked—we’ll see
