Hello,

I have a Samsung fridge I purchased at auction and unfortunately it doesn’t work.

The fridge trips a GFCI as soon as compressor kicks on. The inverter board is showing 4 blinks indication motor locked or over RPM. Motor ohmed out good.

I replaced the inverter board, the compressor, and the main board.

What else could this be?

Thanks guys

No,

The original issue was the fault code for motor locked over RPM.

After replacing the inverter board, compressor, and the main board, the issue persists.

Thank you.

Activate the forced compressor operation and wait two minutes. Does the compressor start?

It does sound like the compressor starts for about half a second and then shuts down. It shuts down when the light starts blinking.

Main board: CN75-4 to CN76-1 = 2.5 VDC ?
CN75-2 to CN76-1 = 5 VDC ?

Inverter board: CN04-1 to CN76-1 = 13 VDC?
CN04-2 to CN76-1 = 5 VDC?

I don’t believe that I have CN04 on my inverter board.

Hmm...... What's the rest of your model number? It probably looks like this: /XAA-00. Is that a board you just replaced? What's the part number? I need to see if I can find the tech sheet or fast track sheet for that model. I'm using one for a similar model but the inverter boards are different. When I look up the inverter for /AA-00, it doesn't look anything like that board.

I see one tag that says RFG237AARS/XAA but that is it

Inverter Board: DA41-00585A
Main Board: DA41-00537

Yep,

Those were the parts I took out, so I had put those in.

I’ll attach a picture of the tag

This was definitely an oversight. I’ve looked through the manual and I see what you are talking about.

Thank you for the help

That model number came up as a good number. That's the one I used to look up the parts. Will you be able to exchange the boards or get a refund because they're electrical parts?

Nope unfortunately.

I have none of the original parts either, so I would need to purchase both boards, plus the compressor is incorrect as well. Someone must have troubleshot this before and just threw wrong parts in.

It’s going to the curb or maybe Facebook marketplace.
