Hello,

I am having trouble with a 5 year old or so Samsung NE59K3310 range. The oven is simply not hot enough. The oven display shows 350 degrees Fahrenheit, but an oven thermometer shows 160 degrees Fahrenheit. I measured the oven's temp after 20 mins of the preheat light turning off.

I checked the following parts for resistance:
Temp sensor once settled down is 54-55 ohms
Top heating element (I can see it in the oven) is 17 ohms
The bottom heating element (hidden) tested open or infinite resistance

Could someone confirm the bottom heating element needs replacing?

Thanks for your help

Yes, you nailed it, bad BAKE element.

Here's the bottom BAKE element for your model you can order:

RepairClinic ships to Canada:

Let us know how it goes. Remember to disconnect power to the range before replacing it.:)

Hello Jake,

Thanks for helping me. We use the oven a lot, but more so these days. I not surprised the heating element gave out. Offering the part number is a bonus. I need to buy the part locally as you are in the U.S. and I am in Canada. I will get started in the morning and post the result.

Thanks,

Nic

Hello,

I replaced the bottom element a few days ago. I have attached a photo of the broken one for reference of others. Please mark this as fixed. Thanks for your help.
