Greetings One and All,
I have a three door SAMSUNG RF268ACBP/XAA that has developed a few issues. The most distressing is a control panel that is randomly flashing; it does not appear to be flashing trouble codes. This happened once before, after a power outage, and I was able to convince it to work again by cycling the power again. After the recent outage, the display will no longer function properly. I'd love to hear opinions on this before I start replacing electronic parts.

The top ice maker stopped working after the 'fridge was left open while I was on vacation. The Ice Maker will keep ice frozen and will also dispense it, but it will not make it. The water solenoid does open and passes water when manually powered up. The line from the solenoid to the top ice maker does not appear to be clogged, as air flows freely through it. Water pressure is fine and the water dispenser will provide 8oz in under 8 seconds.

There also is a reoccurring ice buildup on the bottom of the refrigerator, right in the middle, where there is an electrically operated air control valve (sorry I don't know the name of that part). This causes the lower drawer to not close properly. I checked the twin water reservoirs (located adjacent to the air valve) and their piping without finding any leaks. The water is pooling and freezing up inside the air control valve.

The power is correct at 117 volts, the refrigerator is well maintained, with clean coils and no clogged drain tubes (that I can find). it is level and defrosted. Food stays cold and frozen stuff stays frozen. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I currently have the interior of the refrigerator gutted (all electrical equipment/ connections are plugged it), in hopes of locating where the water is coming from.
Yours,
Mike
