I've had my Samsung refrigerator for a little over a year. Late on Thanksgiving Day, I replaced the water filter and reset the filter light as I had done previously. The next morning, I awoke to find a decent amount of flooding and spent the majority of Black Friday cleaning up that mess. Water had mostly pooled in the Flex Zone drawer with very little making its way into the freezer and freezing. A decent amount made its way out onto the floor. After determining the new water filter must have a defective O-ring, I replaced it with another filter without issue and everything has been working just fine.
Or so I thought.
It took awhile for my wife to notice that some produce in the Flex Zone drawer (which had always been kept at 37°) had frozen. Not thinking much about it, I bumped it up to 41° only to hear that the freezing issue was still not resolved. I started digging for information and found 1-2 useful threads on this forum from people experiencing similar issues: Flex Zone drawer getting too cold due to bad sensor or damper. I ordered the service manual, but was unable to verify part numbers. I went ahead and ordered a replacement sensor specified in another thread: DA32-00033C. I know the sensor can't be removed enough to access the clip connector, so armed with the advice given in another thread, I was planning on cutting and splicing the new sensor onto the existing leads. Preparing to do exactly that but before cutting anything, I noticed a slight difference between the sensor sizes. The new sensor is slightly larger and won't fit into the plastic sensor housing. Sooo...
Is DA32-00033C the correct part for the Flex Zone temp sensor for my refrigerator?
