HELP!

I woke up to flashing blue numbers on the control panel my Samsung Fridge freezer.

The Freezer side is still cooling, the Fridge is not...

I tried to reset by pushing the 2 Power Cool & Power Freeze buttons but they don't respond.

No beeping, dinging or anything other than the numbers still flashing.

I turned off the circuit breaker for 15 minutes to kill power to it and now have the dreaded flashing "5 E" code and still no response to the Power Cool & Power Freeze button.

The freezer still seems to be cooling but nothing from the fridge side.

Other than an exorcism or blowing it in place, does anyone have any advice?

UPDATE!

It is now alternating flashing a "22 E" & a "5E" code.

Still no response to pushing the buttons on the control panel.

I am going to take the inside back panel of the fridge apart to defrost the fan.

The fridge side fan has frozen up before and giving it the old blow dryer treatment has worked previously, but the un responsive control panel is a new problem.

I HATE THIS FRIDGE!

Hi Tom,

The 5E is the Fresh Food defrost sensor error
The 22E is the Fresh Food defrost heater error

I haven't worked on this model as of yet, but I did locate the service manual for you here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FRxydyZ7F98VicVVkraqdI21BOzRSCdt/view?usp=sharing

Follow what it says to do for those 2 error codes.

I don't know why the control panel is not responsive, but the service manual will probably help you with that too.

Here's the parts diagram for your model:

Let us know what you find.
