Can the filter/screen at the bottom of my dishwasher be removed for cleaning?

It lifts up a tiny bit and moves left to right a little but there is resistance.
There is a nub that sticks up, but I'm not sure if that's meant to aid in the removal of the screen or not.

The owners manual says its self-cleaning and says you don't need to remove it.

If you want to just remove the spray arm first, see the photo below, there are 2 clips you have to release at the bottom of it and the whole spray arm just pulls up.
