Maytag dryer model SDG305DAWW only produces heat when the temperature switch is set to "delicate". No heat produced when switch is set to "medium" or "regular". Any idea what is causing this?

Remove power or unplug the machine and access the temperature switch. On Regular, check for continuity across BU and RD. On Medium, check for continuity across BU and RD, and across BK and WH/with resistor. Be sure to disconnect at least one of the wires for each measurement.

Yes, Rick is right. If these check ok then the issue would likely be the cycling thermostat. Would you agree Rick?

Here's the cycling thermostat for your model:

Set the timer on timed dry (about 40 minutes) and unplug the machine. Access the timer and check for continuity across PK and BU and across PK and BK. Always remove at least one wire when checking continuity.
