Hello,

I recently replaced my triple burner element (part #318297805) on my Kenmore Elite electric range (model 790.97473800) since the "middle" section of this element was not turning on. After replacing it, I'm having the same issue! I believe it has to be something further up in the control panel (perhaps some relay)? Not sure what to check next. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Additionally any link to a diagram or part number would be helpful. Thank you very much for your time!

You can check the voltage to the element at the surface unit control board. The common wire for the element is L1. Put one meter lead on L1. The three elements are P4, P9 and P10. Here's a diagram for you:
