My refrigerator cooling functionality has digressed over the last few weeks and i'm going to open it up tonight and start diagnosing.

Does anyone know how to access the Service Menu or know where I could find a service document on this model? Google is failing me.

Well after spending my first hour on it, not looking good.

All Diagnostic tests past. All fans operating properly. I have not put a meter to anything yet. No weird clicking sounds from compressor. Sounds like normal operations to me so far.

No ice buildup in freezer, condenser is clean as a whistle.

Operating temps
Refrigerator Side (setpoint 34): ~36-45 degrees

Freezer Side (setpoint 0): ~30-39 degrees

Your freezer side is way too warm, normal on all freezers is 0 to 10 degrees.

So it seems you have a sealed system problem.

The sealed system consists of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger, filter/drier and refrigerant. Common problems with a sealed system are bad compressors, refrigerant leaks, and system restrictions.

Yep most likely. I have 8 months left on my 10yr sealed warranty through Jenn-Air. It's a $10k machine, so hopefully can be repaired.

OK So confirmed by service appt that its the sealed system.

Question for experts out there, what happens when your parts are under warranty and they are discontinued from the manufacturer.

I need Compressor, Condensor and Evaporator and they are unable to be ordered.

I'd assume Jenn-Air has to do something, they just can't abandon their warranties.
