My dishwasher was showing E15. After draining the water to reset the float, I ran a rinse cycle. The water seemed to come from behind the padding at the far back (away from the door). After removing it, I can see the water coming from behind some polystyrene (part 0542).

Is this an indication there is a leak in the tub itself? I couldn't see from the parts diagram (https://www.bosch-home.com/us/supportdetail/product/SHP65T56UC/07#/Tabs=section-spareparts/) anything else that would put water there. In looking inside the back bottom of the tub, everything I can touch feels solid. I've attached photos of the leak from underneath and the back of the tub. The standing water is because I stopped it during the rinse cycle to see if that would show me a leak.

Time for a new dishwasher or is there something else I should check or do?

I could be wrong, but I don't think the polystyrene is key/diagram #0542. It looks like the gray part that your arrow is pointing to is key #0542, which is a piece of insulation. I couldn't find the polystyrene in the diagrams.

For further clarity, I was expecting the seal to be as worn as to be leaking.

Oh, I see. Your seal doesn't look anywhere near that bad. That is, however, the exact same model so it could be a possibly. Does the seal feel brittle? Exactly how old is your dishwasher?

The seal doesn't feel brittle and nothing came away as I ran my finger along it. The dishwasher is only 5 years old. Is there anywhere else it could leak to be dripping in that location?

I still can't tell exactly where the tub seal has failed, but I was able to see leaking on the back. Sounds like this might be an issue others have had too. :(
