Hi, I am new to the forum so I appologize if I am posting this a wrong way.

My SHU5307 is 3 years old. The display shows 2H in every cycle. The cycle begins right away but takes 2 hours to run, even the economy one. At the end of the cycle, when I open the door, there is steam and the dishes are hot and dry. I ran the test as decribed in the posts. At the end of the test the display shows 0. Is this a flow switch proble? How do I get to the switch to test/replace it?

I will appreciate all the help I can get.

Thanks

Hi,

**SHU5307**

That is part of a full model#.

** I ran the test as decribed in the posts. At the end of the test the display shows 0. Is this a flow switch proble?**

A copy:

1 = Aqua Sensor ("Sensotronic") fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test)
In comming water temp has been checked?

Hi Jeff, I went back and followed the testing instructions thoroughly this time. The first time I was not letting the full teat cycle to finish. After letting it finish after about 3 hours, the cycle stopped and returned a code of 2 The hot water is connected properly. Is there aquick way to check the flow swith operation since it is the least expensive part to replace. Also how do I get to it?

Thanks

G'day,

** After letting it finish after about 3 hours, the cycle stopped and returned a code of 2**

--2 = Heating fault--

Check water temp for sure, check for a burnt spot on the control board, check heater and switch last...if needed.

Thanks Jeff for narrowing down the problem. I am going to check the control board today. Can you send the link to the steps need to get to the board?

Hi Jeff,

I took out the Control Board and found a burnt solder just like in the picture. I fixed it and did continuity check on the terminal.Everything looked good but the 2H display still comes up. I ran the sink water to make sure that the water going in was hot to begin with.

Do I need to run washer for a complete cycle to clear the error or is there something else I may have missed?

Once the water temp works and cycles start to work correctly, they *should* come back in line. The control is capable of adding or subtracting time as it sees fit normally anyway.

Suucess!:):dude:. I ran one cycle and the next one displayed and completed in 76 miutes and this time the dishes came out really hot and clean. Thanks Jeff. You are the Best.
