My circulation pump went bad so I purchased a new one and installed it. Now after replacing the pump doesn't seem to turn on/work. I think it's because of the electrical connections - they are slightly different from the old one and the new one. The old pump had numbers 3 2 4 1 on the side, with purple in 3, white with purple stripe in 2, no spade connection in 4 at all, and black in 1. Spade connections 3 and 2 seem to be jumpered.
The new pump has the same numbering - 3 2 4 1 from left to right, however it has a spade connection for each of them, and spade #1 is slightly smaller than the others (and smaller than on the old pump). Also, on the videos from repairclinic.com, they show a blue connection going to the capacitor which I did not have.
The capacitor on the old pump didn't have any connections except to the motor so there was no need to transfer anything. When I have wired it up, I have gotten a hum from the motor area right after the dishwasher is done filling with water. Seems like it should be simple but I have no idea what the correct wiring connections should be. Thanks for any suggestions!
