Out of the blue today, my washer started making a very loud noise during the spin cycle. Gets louder the faster it spins.

You have a upper and lower bearing that can go bad and cause this noise.

Its best to replace both when one is bad, both use the same bearing part number:
Bearing,upper & Lowe 28944RP


Also check the hub bearing, that could go bad too and cause this noise.

Here's the hub bearing/seal kit for your model:

You will need a couple special tools to do it:

321P4 Tool, Spr Hook


306P4 Tool-Hex Wrench


That's all you should need, it comes with complete instructions.
