FIXED Speed Queen Washer AWN432SP113TW04 fills up the tub, stops, starts filling again, drains for a few seconds, stops, starts filling again, drains a bit

I found water collecting underneath the washer so started taking things apart until I found the source. I've never taken a washer apart so I probably touched more than I needed to. I found the leak, was a hole in the drain hose down near the pump. I got a new one and replaced it no problem.

After I put everything back together the washer doesn't run through a cycle properly. On COLD it fills up the tub, stops, starts filling again, drains for a few seconds, stops, starts filling again, drains a bit. It just does that on repeat.

Now with a full tank of water I put it on SPIN to try and drain out the water, but it just continuously spins. I have more videos I can share. Any help super appreciated!
-Nate

After investigating a little more today - I'm noticing that if I try and do a load, the washer will fill the tub to the correct level, begin agitate and then it siphons off some water and until it's too low and then it restarts the fill process again. Maybe the wiring is bad? I did unplug and replug-in one connection at the top when I was taking things apart.

That's very odd, never anything like that before.

Was it doing that before you replaced the drain hose?

What's the piece at the end of your drain hose? It looks like a filter screen of some kind, and the water does not seem to be going through it, its being diverted to the side of the drain hose.

Machine was working perfectly fine before replacing the hose.
Yeah it's almost like wiring is off or something. Like it doesn't know what to do so it keeps restarting. All I did was replace the drain hose.
That piece you're referring to is this? I just got the 8ft hose from home depot. The original hose had soft black rubber like the water input to the pump you can see in the background. The brown is the new hose. The original drain hose was probably 6-7ft. That's literally the only difference I can think of.

Ok, then yes you probably connected a wire wrong, Unplug the washer and recheck that wire or wires you disconnected.

Wait, did your original drain hose have a siphon break in it?

Kit, Siphon Break 562P3

I located your parts diagram, I'm attaching it below, look on page 31--->Siphon break kit MUST be installed in drain hose if drain receptacle is lower than cabinet top of washer; Optional.

Then look on Page 30 it shows your OEM drain hose.

Here's the OEM drain hose for your model:

Okay, so the drain sink is higher than the washer or maybe about at the same level actually - what do you think? I suppose there were no issues before, except maybe there was too much lint on the washed clothes.

Besides that - the wiring looks good, I don't think anything is crossed. There's only one way to plug/unplug the thing I unplugged.

The original drain hose did not have a Siphon Kit. Just to double check I put the original hose back on and tried to run a cycle but the same problem ocurred.
Any other ideas? Thanks so much for your help already!

That looks fine.

Its just odd that this problem only started when you replaced the drain hose.

I don't know what else to suggest, sorry.

You may need to contact Speed Queen at 800-552-5475 to come out and see what's going on.

Just to bring an end to the story - I wanted to update what the problem ended up being.

I called a technician to come check it out. He quickly realized that I had the hoses backwards. The dirty water hose was connected to the wrong spot. Simplest of fixes - just switch the hoses around.

Excellent, Glad that was all it was.(y)

Thanks for the update!
