I am trying to fix an old Speed Queen Marathon washer. The motor intermittingly jams up, hums and then eventually starts to work but does not go off on overload...at least I don't think it does. How do these motors take out the start winding? Is therea relay or a centrifugal swith which might be causing the problem or is it time to spring for a new motor?
