I have a roughly 30 year old Gibson dishwasher whose seal has broken, resulting in a leak. I’ve tried finding the exact replacement part, but they don’t make them anymore, and I’m having a very hard time finding a universal seal that will fit. Any recommendations?

Yes, its No Longer Available, I don't see a substitute for it. You can try your local appliance parts store in your area, take it in with you, they can probably match it up with a universal one.

These are some other common failure points if you plan on hanging onto it a little longer.

This is the pump impeller and seal kit.

This is the splash guard inside the lower part of the door.

All 3 of those parts are common failure points and they're all discontinued so all might be handy to have available should they fail in the future.
