I have an older Sub Zero 3151 (made by Scotsman) under counter ice maker. There was a little mold near the water jets so I sprayed it with some 409. It started making a buzzing noise immediately. I then flushed it with cups of clean water and the buzzing went away, but only for a few seconds. I turned it off to avoid any damage. I am afraid I might have damaged the pump. When I inspected the basin, I found a small (1/2") O ring. I'm not sure if the two are related.

Overall, I am pretty handy. I salvaged it from the dumpster and reconditioned it. All it needed at the time was a new timer.

Any help would be apricated.

Thanks.

Hi Brian Can you tell where the buzzing is coming from? The 409 cleaner shouldn't cause any part failure. Is it a vibration buzzing (two metal parts close together)?
