need some advise I got a summit wine cooler. if had a small line on the 4mm OD copper tubing that goes from the compressor to a small holding plastic water holding area, I am guessing it uses the heat from this tube to help get any water evaporate from this collecting bin any water sit in when the unit defrosts. there is a small hole in this line.

I do have brazing rod and torch, I found the 4mm OD copper tubing no problem on line. I was planning to cut the section with the crack in it and replace that small section.
My issues is I can't find any 4mm ID copper coupling to join up my new line.

I did find 6mm x 4mm copper tubing. I guess I can buy that and just cut 2pc at 1" long kind of a waste. any suggestions?

4mm OD copper tubing

I've never heard of metric sized tubing used. Common sizes on domestic refrigerators are 1/4" and 5/16" OD tubing. (1/4" tubing fits inside 5/16" tubing.)

Can the small hole not just be welded closed?

Do you also have a vacuum pump, gauges and refrigerant to recharge it? Be sure to also replace the filter dryer if you attempt the repair.

this is a small little wine cooler. I used a caliper to measure the OD and when I googled 4mm hvac tubing it came up everywhere. At first I thought it was 1/8" OD but it was not. the large copper tube is 1/4"

Yes I have a vacuum pump, manifold gauge set, R134A, and scale.

Was the tube under water? If so junk it, if not just swage it & braze and like Dan said change the dryer
