We have a Kenmore Elite 1385 (665.13853K602). Had it about 5 years and never had any issues with the appliance.
We've been using dishwasher tablets that have a gel coating and dissolve for the past several years. Just switched to invididually wrapped tabs. Lo and behold our 14-year-old daughter doesn't notice that she actually had to remove the tablet from the wrapper and pops the wrapped tab into the dispenser.
Next morning discover 3" of water in the bottom of unit and dishwashing tablet (still intact - nice job sealing that puppy!) floating on top of the water. Guessing that the tab blocked the drain and killed the cycle. Now all lights are out on the D/W. Tried resetting breaker -- to no avail.
At work now and will do continuity test on thermal fuse when I get home but any other likely culprits? Will the unit kick itself off if the drain is clogged?
