    ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

    Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
    ...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

FIXED Thermador MBBB/01 Microwave doesnt heat, Magnetron?

Thermador MBBB/01 model microwave. Has the following noise (video attached) when started and doesn't heat. The light comes on and the tray spins. Suspect it a bad magnetron.

I found a LG magnetron that is supposed to work. Part number is

6324W1A001L​

Can anyone confirm this LG part will work.

The unit is built a oven/microwave combination. So I would like to confirm problem and get part prior to pulling from wall cabinet. So help is most appreciated
