• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

The microwave suddenly stopped heating. When started all seems normal as far as lighting and turntable spinning, it just makes a louder buzzing noise than normal - and of course no heat. The unit is part of an over/under microwave and oven setup so it is a bit of a pain to remove and get to the internals. I would love to be able to order the parts and get it fixed without having to have it sit on the kitchen floor for days while trouble shooting and ordering parts. Hopefully this is common problem is a one part deal. I did do a little research and saw on another site that it could be a couple of different things.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
